Senator John McCain Dies at the age of 81

The world has lost a true patriot. Senator McCain is known to have loved America until the day he died. He followed his father and grandfather footsteps and joined The United States Navy in 1958. In 1967 during the Vietnam War his aircraft was shot down. He was a prisoner of war until 1973. During that time he was torture and the first 2 years he was in solitary confinement. It left him with disabilities and suffered until the day he died.

In 1982 he was elected United States House of Representatives where he served 2 terms. Then In 1987 he served as the Senator Of Arizona until the day he died.

Senator McCain ran for President twice but in 2008 he was the republican nominee. He lost to president Barack Obama.

Senator McCain had a few nicknames one was The Maverick for not being afraid to go against his own party.

We also can’t forget when he was running for President in 2008 and he was at a debate and a women was trying to say candidate Obama can’t be trusted and he was an Arab Senator grab the mic and defended Obama. Straight class act.

At 1:29 am Senator McCain came off his sick bed to thumbs down and voted no to repealing & replacing Obama Care. It started an outcry within his party but was celebrated on the other side.

In 2017 the family revealed that Senator McCain was diagnosed with a aggressive form of Glioblastoma brain cancer. Friday, August 24th the family released a statement saying that he would no longer receive medical treatment for his condition and he died a day later. What’s so ironic is Ted Kennedy and McCain was very close. On this same day Ted died of the same type of cancer. Two friends in paradise together.
